Deacons & Trustees


The office of Deacon is set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-16 and Acts 6:3. Deacons are responsible for the administrative, and business work of the church and assist the Pastors in their duties, in promoting the spiritual welfare of the church such as provided in Acts 6:1—4, through calling and discipleship programs, serve the members of this Body of Believers, comprise the pulpit committee, serve as the Church’s Disciplinary Board, serve as the School Board, assist with the appointment of teachers and officers to handle the day-to-day operations, periodically update the membership rolls and interview prospective members, and serve as the Corporate Board of Directors for all local, state and federal requirements and filings.


Elected, the Board of Trustees are responsible for the real and personal properties of the church (care and maintenance; to receive and count all monies coming into the church and to turn it over to the Church Treasurer for deposit.)
